Facial treatment in Bethesda, MD

Prioritize self-care at a relaxing spa in Bethesda, Maryland

There are an abundance of spas and boutique wellness centers in Bethesda, MD. And who wants to spend a ton of time parsing through Google reviews and choosing which one best fits when all you want is to lay back and be replenished? To help you out, here’s a list of excellent spas that offer services ranging from classic to innovative.

Ninotch

At Ninotch, you’ll be able to get a tension-releasing massage, a hydrating facial, acupuncture, airbrushing, and more. A special offering at Ninotch is Kinesio Taping treatments. This treatment is excellent if you need some extra stability and support for rehabilitation following a movement-related injury. Tatiana Tchamouroff, Ninotch’s Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner (CKTP), also provides this signature treatment to the Washington Nationals baseball team.

Bethesda Salt Cave & Spa

At the Bethesda Salt Cave & Spa you can relax and reap the benefits of their specialty, the Himalayan salt cave. From their website, in the salt cave, you’ll “ recharge, leaning back in our zero gravity recliners or on our beautiful Guatemalan Handmade pillows. Ambient music will ease your spirit & help guide you deeper into a meditative state of mind.” They also offer a wide range of spa and wellness services such as HaloTherapy, massage, energetic & aromatherapy modalities, lymph drainage, and more. They also hold live workshops on topics such as essential oils, drumming & chanting, meditation, group energy clearing, and more.

Hammam Bethesda

Hammam Bethesda: Hammam is a classic cleansing spa treatment from Morocco. At Hammam Bethesda Fatima and the other female practitioners provide an exfoliating authentic Moroccan body scrub using a blend of black soap, Moroccan clay, and argan oil.” Currently, they offer hammam services exclusively to women but are hoping to expand their practitioners so they can offer service to men as well.

Hope Floats

At Hope Floats the treatments provide a range of really delicious benefits. Floating is said to reduce anxiety levels and chronic inflammation in addition to releasing endorphins, increasing circulation, regulating sleep patterns, and improving concentration and creativity. And on top of the treatments themselves, the space is beautiful and relaxing. The waiting room has muted seafoam walls and a comfy couch dotted with patterned throw pillows.

The infrared sauna is made of paneled wood and coupled with fluffy towels and a glass-doored shower in your own personal sauna room with a nice shower head and a framed mirror and wicker basket. You get your own private sauna room that accommodates up to four adults. From their website, “The infrared sauna uses light to create heat.  A traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air, typically at temperatures between 180 – 220°F, which in turn warms your body.  An infrared sauna heats your body directly without warming the air around you, maintaining a temperature no greater than 150°F.”

They also offer cold plunge therapy. The benefits of cold plunging are numerous as well, from combating inflammation and boosting the immune system to stimulating the vagus nerve and giving you a rush of norepinephrine, which helps regulate mood, anxiety, and other functions.

You can partake in just one treatment or a combination (the infrared sauna and float go particularly well together). First-time floaters get a discount on their first three floats when purchased as a package.

If you’d like to make one of their wellness services a regular part of your routine, you can join The Harmony Club and get a discounted price on a single service each month. This is a great way to automatically prioritize your well-being.
