Strathmore music center
The Strathmore music center comprises three different locations. First, there’s the esteemed and acoustically perfect Music Center, which seats over 1,900 people. Next, AMP is a hip music venue in the Pike & Rose complex. Finally, the Mansion is an elegant 19th building that hosts not only music, but also art gallery exhibits, educational programs, and afternoon tea (if you can reserve a ticket before they sell out!).
There are a couple really nice movie theaters in Bethesda. The IPIC movie theater is located in the Pike & Rose complex in N. Bethesda. It’s a “premium dine-in theater experience.” They serve elevated movie theater fare, such as chicken wings with either buffalo sauce OR gochujang sauce, shrimp avocado wrap, and a prime rib sandwich, in addition to popcorn and Mike and Ikes.
The Bethesda Row Landmark movie theater is located right downtown nestled among the shops and restaurants. The seats are super comfy and they have a full bar with beer, wine, and custom cocktails that you can enjoy before the show, or take into the theater to sip on during your movie. Pro tip: On Tuesdays, movie tickets are $7 instead of their typical $14.
